Apple’s plans to renovate a building in North Carolina as part of work for a new billion-dollar campus will cost the company $19.3 million, permits for work reveal.

Apple is in the process of building out a new campus in North Carolina as part of a $1 billion construction project in Raleigh. To kickstart its operations, Apple is occupying office space in Cary while the campus is being constructed, an effort that itself is an expensive undertaking.Plans were laid out in 2021 for Apple to occupy a seven-story “MetLife III” building in Cary, with the iPhone maker occupying the entire building. One year later, some of the costs of the renovation project have surfaced.
