Ms Marvel is set to bring upon the dawn of change in the Marvel universe. The series, the first episode of which is streaming on Disney+ and Disney+ Hotstar, introduces us to Marvel’s first Muslim superhero Kamala Khan/Ms Marvel. This television miniseries will lay the foundation for the most awaited film The Marvels, which will see Brie Larson reprise her role of Captain Marvel alongside Ms Marvel.

Ms Marvel release date and time
The first episode of Ms Marvel has dropped today, 8th June, at 12:30 pm IST and Disney will release each new episode on Wednesdays, at the same time. The last episode will be aired almost a month later on 13th July.
Ms Marvel episodes
The show will comprise 6 episodes with a runtime under the mark of 50-minutes. Adil El Arbi & Bilall Fallah direct the opening episode and the season finale. Meera Menon will direct the second and third episodes and Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy will direct the remaining two.

Ms Marvel Cast
Pakistani Canadian actor Iman Vellani is set to be the first Muslim superhero in Marvel franchise becoming Kamala Khan/Ms Marvel. Kamala Khan is a Pakistani-American student who happens to be a big fan of Captain Marvel.
The cast includes several other South Asian actors. Besides Vellani, the Ms Marvel cast includes Zenobia Shroff as her mother Muneeba Khan, Mohan Kapur as her father Yusuf Khan, Matt Lintz as Khan’s best friend Bruno Carrelli, Yasmeen Fletcher as her friend Nakia Bahadir, Saagar Shaikh as her elder brother Aamir Khan, Rish Shah as her crush Kamran, Arian Moayed as Department of Damage Control agent P. Cleary, returning after Spider-Man: No Way Home, and Alysia Reiner as fellow agent Sadie Deever.
We will also see Farhan Akhtar and Fawad Khan in a special appearance.

The first trailer for Ms Marvel dropped on 15th March 2022 and it promises to be a coming of age story for a brown Muslim girl in America and a quirky comedy. The trailer, in which Kamala Khan is exploring her life till she becomes Ms Marvel, looks promising. Check it out here

Marvel has made sure to include South Asian names in the design department as well. Pakistani designer Shehzil Malik’s art has been used for the creation of the poster. He thanked the creators through an Instagram post.
