Houston, is there somebody else out there? To find that, NASA is launching an independent team to gather all information there is about extraterrestrial beings, Alien sightings, and other unexplained mysteries of space. The research efforts would be channelized toward finding “what makes up 95% of the universe”.

NASA Alien Study: What You Need To Know

NASA

The goal of the new NASA research activity is to review and collect data on the Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAP) which is what the US Federal Government calls the UFOs. Now, these flying objects need not be extraterrestrial in nature but their sightings still demand a formal investigation, which is what NASA is doing now.

In a report shared by the director of national intelligence, these so-called UAPs have reportedly “appeared to remain stationary in winds aloft, move against the wind, maneuver abruptly, or move at considerable speed, without discernible means of propulsion. In a small number of cases, military aircraft systems processed radio frequency (RF) energy associated with UAP sightings.”

So, while giving a presentation to the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering and Medicine, NASA Science Mission chief Thomas Zurbuchen announced this  “high-risk, high-impact” mission that’s going to cost less than $100,000 and set to begin in the fall.

While revealing the initiative, he also addressed the counter-argument by saying, “It’s clear that in a traditional type of science environment, talking about some of these issues may be considered a kind of selling out, or kind of talking about things that are not actual science. I just really vehemently oppose that. I really believe that the quality of science is not only measured by the outputs that come behind it, but also the questions we’re willing to tackle with science.”

Let’s see if NASA manages to unravel some mystery or give a definite answer to the long-going question of whether there are Aliens or not.
