OTTplay, which is a leading recommendation website for movies, web shows, and series, has unveiled a brand new streaming app called OTTplay Premium. Rather than original content, OTTplay’s headlining feature is that it bundles content from a bunch of other OTT apps like SonyLIV, ZEE5, Sun NXT, and Curiosity Stream. Not just domestic platforms, the service also includes a library of content from foreign OTT apps like DUST, Hallmark Movies Now, FUSE+, and Tastemade+.
This is the first time that international OTT platforms like these are being brought to India like this.
Speaking about the reason for such a platform, the OTTplay founder Avinash Mudaliar, “Our aim is to enable consumers to spend time watching their favorite content, not searching for it; according to a recent Accenture report, close to 70% of Indian OTT consumers find the process of navigating different OTT apps “frustrating”, and that is the precise problem we had set out to solve with OTTplay.”
OTTplay Premium Apps Features
OTTplay roster comprises 12 OTT partners, across 10 Indian languages and a bunch of foreign languages, 18+ genres, and 20,000+ shows.
It is compatible across different operating systems including iOS and Android.
The domestic OTTs part of OTTplay are SonyLIV, ZEE5, LIONSGATE PLAY, Sun NXT, ShemarooMe, Curiosity Stream, ShortsTV, and DocuBay.
The international OTTs in the mix are Hallmark Movies Now, DUST, FUSE+, and Tastemade+.
These are clubbed under different OTTplay subscription packages:
Jhakass: 5 Hindi OTTs
Totally Sorted: 8 English OTTs
Simbly South: 4 South Indian OTTs
Chota Pataka: 5 assorted OTTs
The pricing starts from as low as ₹50 per month, but the payment has to be made yearly.
