Samsung has officially confirmed that Galaxy M53 5G will debut in India this week on April 22 and will be available for purchase via Amazon India. The handset has already been announced globally so there aren’t many surprises to look forward to. 

The Samsung Galaxy M53 5G is likely to be positioned as a mid-range phone with a 108MP camera, MediaTek Dimensity 900 SoC, and – like all other Samsung phones this year – will ship without a charging adapter in the box. 

Samsung Galaxy M53 Specifications and Features 

The microsite for the phone is already live on Amazon and list several key features of the Samsung Galaxy M53. 

To start with, the 6.7-inch Super AMOLED Plus display has an FHD+ panel and a 120Hz refresh rate. This is an Infinity-O panel with a circular punch hole housing a 32MP selfie camera and Gorilla Glass 5 protection layered on top. The primary 108MP camera is accompanied by an 8MP ultrawide snapper, a 2MP macro camera, and a 2MP depth sensor.  

Samsung further highlights an “Auto Data switching” feature that will automatically switch data to the secondary SIM if the primary SIM loses network access. 

We know from the global announcement that Samsung is using an octa-core (2×2.4GHz + 6x2GHz) chipset to drive the phone (Likely MediaTek Dimensity 900), paired with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. 

There is a 5000mAh battery within and you can separately arrange a 25W USB PD fast charger to get fast charging speeds. Other notable features include Android 12-based One UI 4.1 software, microSD card support (Hybrid), Knox security, 5G, LTE, dual-band WiFi ac, Bluetooth 5.2, and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. 

The handset is expected to be priced in the range of ₹25,000 to ₹30,000 and It will be interesting to see how the Galaxy M53 5G compares to the recently launched Galaxy A53 5G (review).
