Instagram has been testing and rolling out new features lately, and one of the more major feature updates pushed out by the social media giant has been the ability to pin up to three posts, which include, photos, videos or reels, to the top of the Instagram profile grid.
Instagram: How to pin posts to the top of the profile grid?
Specific posts and reels can be pinned to the top of the profile grid by navigating to the post or reel you want to be pinned. Next, the user needs to tap the three dots on the top right corner and select the option called “Pin to your profile”. When that is done, the post or reel will now appear at the top of the grid. Users can do that with three of their posts.

Instagram: Benefits of pinning posts to the top
Instagram claims that this new feature helps users gain more control over their posts and will help users highlight specific posts on their profiles at specific times. Thanks to this feature, people visiting the users’ profile would not have to scroll through a bunch of posts and will now be able to see what the user wants to highlight more easily. The global rollout of this new feature has already begun.
