One of the most used music apps out there, the Google-owned YouTube Music Web app has finally received the multi-select option which lets the user choose more than one song to add to a playlist. A much-needed update, which was long due as it was a hassle to add songs one by one to a specific list or playlist.

As reported by Android Central, this feature was spotted by a Reddit user, the music streamers web interface has added a new feature which now lets the user select multiple options while adding songs to a playlist.

YouTube Music receives the multi-select option

Users can use this feature by simply clicking on the checkbox which appears on the right-hand side of the song. The checkbox will appear when hovering over an item. After this, at the bottom of the page, there are a few options which include adding them to the playlist, or playing them after the current playback ends.

An overflow menu also comes, the report said. The overflow menu also has different options such as adding songs to the queue or to the library.  However, the update as of now is not available widely. It is only visible to a few of the users.

Earlier, as part of Google’s development plans for YouTube Music, new changes were made in the app, which brought an improved radio algorithm, new interface changes, new Shuffle, changes to family listening and much more. With this new update, the YouTube app for the Wear OS also allows users to shuffle their downloaded songs all at once.
